Rookie Dads is a parenting workshop for new and expectant fathers. Participants learn skills that are essential for new parents – all in a dad-friendly environment with other expectant fathers!
Rookie Moms is hosted by the Motherhood Program at CDR and happens at the same time and in the same place as Rookie Dads! Moms will explore what to expect during the first few months with your baby.
Why come to a Rookie parents workshop?
- You'll get hands-on experience diapering, swaddling, and feeding a baby.
- You'll learn time-tested ways to soothe your baby and help them sleep - which is sure to save you some stress!
- You'll be learning with people who can relate to what being an expectant parent is like!
I really felt that the items covered in the program gave myself a better confidence about being a parent. The questions I had were answered and were very helpful. Men need programs like these to help better understand the situation your getting ready to enter. Helps with the overall spectrum of being a supporting husband and father needed to raise a child.
This is a great program for Rookie Dads like myself and also anyone who is interested at bettering their skills around small children. The energy was good in the classroom and it was a very positive experience.
